Translated store listing and keywords

HelloPack writes your App Store and Google Play name, subtitle, keywords and descriptions in every language. Here's what you get and where to paste each field.

Store listing · 1 of 1

From what you told us about your app, HelloPack writes the text for both stores, within every store limit, and then writes it natively in other languages (not word for word).

What you get

Store Field Limit
App Store App Store name 30 characters
App Store Subtitle 30 characters
App Store Keywords 100 bytes
App Store Promotional text 170 characters
App Store Description 4,000 characters
Google Play Google Play title 30 characters
Google Play Short description 80 characters
Google Play Full description 4,000 characters
Both Categories App Store primary and secondary, Google Play category

Keywords are counted in bytes, as Apple does: Japanese, Chinese or Korean characters take 3 bytes each, so fewer of them fit.

Get your listing in HelloPack

  1. Describe your app first. Follow step 1 of Match your brand, then choose Write my description on the Here's what we understood page. It takes about 10 seconds.

  2. Read the free preview. Your App Store name and Subtitle are yours to copy right away. The rest is locked until you pay. If we had to guess something, a We assumed note says so, with an Edit if wrong link.

  3. Check the counters. Every field shows its length against the store limit, such as 30/30 for the subtitle.

  4. Write it in other languages. Open Write it in other languages, tick languages and choose Write the listing in these languages. The free preview covers up to 2 languages. Each run counts as one of your 5 versions for this app.

  5. Switch languages with the tabs. Each language gets its own tab with the same fields and counters.

  6. Unlock the full text. Pay for the Launch Kit or use an Indie or Pro plan to see and edit every field. After that, each field has a Copy button, edits save automatically, and Download listing.txt saves the English text. When the app's listing is unlocked, your screenshot zip also has a Listing folder with App Store.md and Google Play.md for every language. (no screenshot: requires purchase)

Paste it into App Store Connect

(no screenshot: App Store Connect can't be captured here; field names are from Apple's App Store Connect Help)

  1. Open your app. In App Store Connect, go to Apps and select your app.
  2. Pick the language. At the top right, click the primary language to open the language menu. To add a language, scroll to Not Localized, hold the pointer over the language and click +.
  3. Name and subtitle. In the sidebar, click App Information. Paste Name and Subtitle for that language, choose your Primary Category and Secondary Category, then click Save.
  4. Text for this version. Open the iOS app version in the sidebar. For the same language, paste Promotional Text, Description and Keywords, then click Save.
  5. Repeat for each language. Pick the next language in the menu at the top right and paste its text.

Tip: Apple already searches your app name and company name, so don't repeat them in Keywords. Separate keywords with commas.

Paste it into Google Play Console

(no screenshot: Play Console can't be captured here; field names are from Google's Play Console Help)

  3. Add languages. At the top, choose Manage translations (or Add translations the first time) and then add your own translations. Select the languages, then click Apply.
  4. Paste each language. Pick a language and paste its App name, Short description and Full description. Click Save.
  5. Category. Set your app's category under Store presence > Store settings.
