Pick the best screenshots and order
Which app screens to upload, how many, in what order, and the store sizes HelloPack makes for iPhone 6.9", iPhone Duo and Google Play.
HelloPack never changes your screenshot. It places it in a device frame, on a background, with your caption above it. So start with clean, real screens from your app.
Which screens to use
- Your main screen first. Show the thing people open your app for, with realistic content, not an empty state.
- One idea per screenshot. A timer, a calendar, a stats page: each one tells a different part of the story.
- Skip pop-ups and half-finished screens. No sheets covering the screen, no keyboards, no loading spinners.
- Use sample data you're happy to show. Every screenshot is public on your store page, so leave out real names, emails and private details.
How many
- HelloPack takes 1 to 10 screenshots per set.
- The App Store allows up to 10 screenshots per device size. Google Play needs at least 2 and at most 8 phone screenshots.
- 5 to 8 is a good number: enough to tell the story, and it works for both stores.
- Most people only see the first 3 without scrolling, so make those your strongest.
Steps

Take full-resolution screenshots. Use PNG, JPG or WebP, at least 600 pixels on the short side and under 15 MB each. A screenshot from a recent iPhone (1206 × 2622) is ideal.

Put them in the right order. Your screenshots are numbered in upload order, and that's the order they have in the zip and in the stores. Files are usually added in name order, so name them
01-home.png,02-details.pngand so on before you upload. Then check the thumbnails; if the order is wrong, rename the files and upload them again. -
Choose a style. On the languages step, Match my app lets HelloPack pick the layout that suits your app. You can also choose Bold, Colour rotation, Hero first, Panorama, Dark or Gradient.

Keep all store sizes ticked. Open Store sizes to see them. They're all ticked by default; untick a size only if you're sure you won't need it.

Apple says iPhone Duo screenshots will be required from April 2027 for apps built with the iOS 27.1 SDK or later.
